En nuestro trabajo se presentan ocasionalmente pacientes que requieren una solución protésica poco convencional dada su complejidad clínica y psicosocial. La forma de vida y el entorno sociocultural del paciente también son determinantes en el momento de diseñar y fabricar su prótesis ocular o facial.
Aquí se expondrán algunos de estos casos complejos, la forma en que fueron abordados y la solución protésica que resolvió cada desafío.

In our work there are occasionally patients who require an unconventional prosthetic solution given their clinical and psychosocial complexity. The way of life and the socio-cultural environment of the patient are also decisive when designing and manufacturing their ocular or facial prosthesis. Here will be discussed some of these cases were complex, the way they approached and the prosthetic solution that solved each challenge.
