Welcome to Chicago and the annual scientific session of The International Anaplastology Association! This is our 37th gathering and as you will see when you attend, there is great significance to this number. The theme of our meeting is ANAPLASTOLOGY: SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE. Our profession casts a broad net and includes many skilled caregivers meeting a wide range of patient needs. This year’s program is designed to provide practical information to address these needs.
Our official hotel is the storied Whitehall, steps away from the Magnificent Mile. (Don’t be surprised if you hear a riff or two of a Rolling Stones tune as you walk the hallways. After all, it was their favorite place to stay whenever they came to town!) All guest rooms and common areas have been completely redecorated to assure us of a comfortable stay in an elegant setting. Aside from our meeting, Chicago offers many other opportunities for dining, entertainment and the arts. I encourage you to plan to stay a couple of days before or after our meeting to take advantage of all that The Second City has to offer. We have secured special room rates at The Whitehall Hotel for just this purpose. I encourage you to book early as we expect to have a large turnout for this year’s meeting. Information on how to book your hotel room will be released shortly.
2024 will be an exclusively in-person meeting. Aside from the excellent educational component our Program Committee has put together, I encourage you to take time to reconnect with existing friends and take the opportunity to build new friendships. We are a small but mighty group. I look forward to seeing you in Chicago in April 25-27, 2024.
